We are seeking multiple MBSE Engineers to support our client's Digital Engineering Center of Excellence in support of a US Air Force program which is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing America's Strategic Deterrent Force.

These engineers will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution, which enables and integrates the program's complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program's lifecycle. The efforts of this team will play a critical piece during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the weapon system development.


- Performing analysis of system operations

- Perform system decomposition via OMG frameworks (UML, DoDAF 2.0/UPDM, SysML, UAF)

- Model systems via different perspectives (e.g. capability, operational, system, functional) and at various levels of abstraction using UML modeling tools (NoMagic preferred) - MAIN RESPONSIBILITY

- Meet with stakeholders in a variety of system domains and analyze requirement, process, system, and/or capability

- Extending UML-based models to other tools or modeling environments via existing frameworks/API's

- Other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned

Test the JD:

These engineers will be sitting on a team who is trying to push the limits of Digital Engineering and MBSE approaches. The main responsibility of these people will be to decompose system requirements and create models using Cameo/UML/SysML of a variety of different requirements to meet the mission of the GBSD and other programs.


- No professional experience creating models

- People who want to be an architect and not perform hands on modeling

- People who are more interested in the end product rather than enhancing their career in MBSE "do you want to be an MBSE vs want to be an MBSE supporting a missile system". They want people who want to be an MBSE no matter the end product.

Best vs Average:

- Experience working on a Agile SW or Enterprise IT system

- Currently have a Secret or higher

- Have an OMG OCSMP certification (any level)

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience using mathematical analysis tools like Matlab or Ansys (high preference)

• OCSMP Model User experience, certification preferred

• Experience modeling complex systems for government organizations

• Experience using configuration management/version control tools such as Git

• Experience developing applications using object-oriented programming languages

Screening Questions:

- What is your experience with system decomposition?

- What Simulation Analysis Tools are you familiar with? (should be Matlab, Eclipse, or Ansys)

- How did you use those Analysis tools?

- What is your experience using these tools to connect models?

- What perspectives have you had to model a systems from? (e.g. capability, operational, system, functional)

- Have you ever had to create models for an abstract requirement?

- What modeling tools are you proficient with? (SysML, UML, Cameo/MagicDraw preferred....Rhapsody, Cradle, Sparks EA are fine)

- Do you have an OCSMP cert? If yes, what level?
