Our team consists of 20 skilled bariatric surgeons and 16 Physician Associates, with years of experience. The Physician Associate would be responsible for performing H&P s, prescribing medications, and order diagnostic tests. The Physician Associate will work under the supervision of the Surgeon, as well as, working independently, consulting with the Surgeon when necessary. To be a successful Physician Associate, you should be formally trained to assist in the OR, be able to order proper testing as needed, review results and treat appropriately. You must demonstrate compassion, empathy, and understanding along with strong attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Interviewing, examining, and diagnosing patients illnesses
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Prescribing medications and suggesting lifestyle changes
• Suturing skills, first assisting in the OR
• Reviewing and maintaining patients medical histories and records and recording patients progress
• Educating and counseling patients and their families
• Researching the latest treatments, innovations, advances and trends in the bariatric field

• Clinical training experience and the willingness to complete 100 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain certification
• A state license to practice Medicine
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Detail oriented with good problem-solving skills
• Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills
• The ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy

Master s Degree in Physician Associate

• State Licensing
• Board Certified in Physician Associate
• ACLS & BLS Certification
• Infectious Disease Certified
