Looking for a Production Planner to assist in scheduling and managing projects within a small aerospace engineering company. Work is primarily in office work and exposure to the manufacturing operations side of the business. Will work with the shop in support of NASA and DoD projects. The candidate performs the following activities:
Coordinate production workflow for all in house manufacturing requests.
Plan and prioritize shop operations.
Works to determine issues with logistics of machinery and availability.
Solves/ works with inventory management related issues.
Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production of parts.
Place orders for materials, tooling, and coordinates secondary operations with local vendors.
Ability to view parts in CAD (Solidworks).
Solidworks, Mechanical, Gd&t, machine shop, machine set up, inventory control, machining, NASA, mechanisms, gears, manufacturing environment, cnc, cnc programming, inventory management
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Associates degree in Engineering or Technical area is a plus. Can substitute experience for a degree.
At least 3-10 yrs of industry experience. Previous experience in a high reliability industry (DoD, NASA, Aerospace, Aviation, Automotive, etc) is a plus. Some experience in machining operations is required.
Experience in SolidWorks CAD software to open and view components a plus. Other CAD packages also applicable.
Prior experience in small / prototype machine shop is highly desirable
Proficiency in MS Project as well as the MS Office Suite.
